Immortal Spirits
As varied as nature itself, a leshy is a spirit of nature that has been bound into a mortal form. Sometimes this happens willingly, as a way for a curious spirit to explore the material world, but just as often they are made as a product of some nefarious rite. While in such a mortal form, Leshies are unable to recall details from their many lived lives, but have an innate knowledge of what they are. They also have a connection to whatever creature placed them into their form, making it natural for them to either show their appreciation or displeasure of what transpired to make them mortals.
Natural Bodies
The forms of Leshies incorporate all manner of natural elements. Some might look like a cactus with limbs while others can inhabit a body resembling a moving mushroom colony or a collection of plants that together form a functional body.
Curious Explorers
Around the world, Leshies are generally seen as curiosities. As they are aware of their own near-immortal souls, many scholars will attempt to help them remember the old world, but to no avail. People are also aware of the possibility a Leshy might have been brough to life involuntarily, and as such might be on a path of vengeance. Therefore, it is not uncommon that an aggressive Leshy is given plenty of space.
