In his younger days, the duke was known for spending the family’s money on parties for his friends. However, as he got into power, even they stopped enjoying his favour. He grew bitter and paranoid that other aristocrats were plotting to overthrow his family and rumours say he had some of those families assassinated. Regardless of how truthful those rumours are, the duke is disliked by most, regardless of social standing.
