Ruler:Malai acc FirinPopulation:~1200 A harbour town in the mountains of Cavaris beset by demonic assailants.

Demonic Incursions

Firin used to be a rather populous city for Cavaris with bustling trade and many a visitor. However, almost thirty years ago, demonic apparitions started attacking. At first, it was just a small one every so often, but as time passed, the attacks only intensified. Eventually, the town’s head cleric, Famo acc Eletha, managed to entreat their deity to put up wards at the harbour gates. Unfortunately, by the time that happened, most of the inhabitants had already abandoned the place, never to return.

A Guildless Existence

Though The Guilds do have a presence in Cavaris, they haven’t bothered visiting Firin since before the demonic incursion started. Because of this, the city has become a more liberal place for the few craftsmen who have made their way there. This goes as far as the city even having an officially-appointed mage, something the guilds tolerate, but don’t condone.

Locations

Inns

The Mountain Hall

A proper dwarven inn, the mountain hall is considered the prime location for any festivities. Town gatherings are held there, celebrations of any kind are rarely attended if they happen elsewhere. The rooms aren’t much to speak of, but the food and drink more than makes up for it.

The Last Bottle

Like the other inns in the city, The Last Bottle isn’t set up to accommodate visitors much. However, they serve meals and provide beds at night if someone should require them.

Shops

Mergon’s Miracles

The town mage, Mergon Miraculous acc Marand is more than happy to perform minor magical feats to aid the citizens. For a fee, of course.

Others

Temple of Eletha

What used to be a temple run by Famo acc Eletha, has recently been turned into a sort of community centre where various gatherings are held.

Barracks

The largest employer of any in the city, the guards keep it safe, ensuring Famo’s wards don’t have to take all the damage from them, as the cleric don’t believe them to be impervious. However, as the attacks of recent years have gotten stronger, the job has gotten riskier and riskier. Their cleric does all he can to bring back those few who are recoverable, but some bodies are too far gone even for his divine grace.
